Location Highlights Salinas offers access to Monterey Bay attractions and Central Coast outdoor destinations. The city is about 20 miles from Monterey and Cannery Row, and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve is roughly 30 miles away for coastal hiking and ocean views. Pinnacles National Park is about 35 miles southeast of Salinas, and the area also provides access to the Salinas Valley wine region and the National Steinbeck Center in downtown Salinas. Travelers can also reach Carmel-by-the-Sea in about 30 miles, while nearby Highway 101 supports regional access through a setting that balances agricultural surroundings with proximity to the coast.
