Weeks Construction Services & Data Center Solutions This role will lead our efforts to expand the company’s West Coast data center business, including brownfield retrofitting, Day 2 construction within live operating data centers, and Data Center Solutions services such as OFCI/CFCI management, warehousing, laydown, logistics, inventory control, and material storage support. They will develop new client relationships, secure new projects, and help build the specialized team required to safely support construction, logistics, and material management in mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying, pursuing, and securing mission-critical data center opportunities across the western United States for the broader range of services offered by Weeks Group and its affiliated companies.
- Developing relationships with western data center owners, operators, facility managers, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and other mission-critical industry partners.
- Managing opportunities from initial client contact through site evaluation, proposal, negotiation, contract award, and handoff to the project-delivery team.
- Assisting with project scopes, budgets, estimates, proposals, presentations, schedules, logistics plans, and contract negotiations.
- Working with company leadership on the onset of a project to evaluate scope, staffing needs, shutdown requirements, phasing, scheduling, safety, risk, and profitability.
- Supporting the planning of project work around active equipment, occupied spaces, critical systems, security requirements, and ongoing client activities.
- Maintaining strong client relationships and developing repeat Day 2 and equipment management business.
- The Day 2 Construction projects may include:
- Renovations and retrofits within live data centers.
- Electrical and mechanical infrastructure upgrades.
- Equipment replacements and system modernization.
- Capacity expansions within existing facilities.
- White-space modifications and fit-outs.
- Cooling, power, controls, fire protection, and security improvements.
- Phased construction, shutdowns, and tie-ins to active systems.
- Repairs, maintenance-related improvements, and other Day 2 mission-critical construction.
- Additional data center Day 2 construction project types.
- The Equipment Management Services may include:
- OFCI/CFCI management, receiving, storage, inventory control, and release coordination.
- Logistics coordination from vendor or OEM release through site delivery and trade handoff.
