About the role
- Plant Operator IHigh School diploma or GED2-3 years of experience operating low and/or high-pressure steam boilers; basic experience with central plant centrifugal chillers
- City of Los Angeles Steam License
- Ability to obtain an Unlimited Steam License (City of Los Angeles) within 24 months
- Ability to obtain EPA 608 refrigeration license within 24 months 2 years of experience with BMS, HVAC automation controls, energy management systems, or related fields (2-year technical degree or certificate preferred)
- Valid California driver's license with fewer than 3 DMV points
- Plant Operator IIHigh School diploma or GED4-5 years of experience operating high-pressure steam boilers; basic experience with central plant centrifugal chillers
- Unlimited Steam License (City of Los Angeles) requiredEPA 608 refrigeration license required
- Valid California driver's license with fewer than 3 DMV points
- Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software, email applications, work order systems and BMS systems
- Ability to read and understand blue prints and control drawings
- Knowledge of water treatment principles for boilers, chiller systems, and cooling towers
- Ability to quickly respond to equipment failures by troubleshooting and restoring equipment
