What You Will Do:
  • Perform MRI scans, operate MRI scanner/injector systems, and produce diagnostic-quality MR images
  • Maintain and troubleshoot MR scanner software and equipment
  • Apply knowledge of MR anatomy, pathology and physiology to support image quality
  • Provide compassionate patient care: ensure comfort, safety, efficient workflow
  • Participate in performance improvement efforts, student/staff orientation
  • Occasionally perform tasks such as venipuncture for applicable MRI exams and non-narcotic medication transport (depending on site)

Graduation of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree program. Experience Requirements Radiology or MRI degree graduates accepted State of Florida Licensure Requirements Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs only. MRI degree for non-radiology techs. If out of FL ability to transfer license. Certifications/Registration RequirementsBLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) Required
