Guidewire – Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong SQL Server, SSIS, and Guidewire Policy Center experience to support and enhance an enterprise data warehouse. The role will focus on ETL development, data modeling, performance tuning, and translating Policy Center data into analytics-ready warehouse structures.

Job Requirements: 8–12 years of overall IT experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning. Proven experience developing and supporting SSIS batch ETL pipelines. Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, including fact/dimension models, star/snowflake schemas, and historical data. Hands-on experience with Guidewire Policy Center data models, including policy, account, job, coverage, transaction, and effective-dated data. Strong understanding of P&C Insurance and policy lifecycle, including New Business, Endorsement, Renewal, Cancellation, and Reinstatement. Experience translating Guidewire operational data into EDW / ODS / reporting structures. Experience with source-to-target mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and data quality. Strong SQL performance tuning and troubleshooting skills. Experience supporting production data issues, root-cause analysis, and ETL failures. Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools is a plus. Experience with Databricks or Azure Data Factory is a plus.
