Position Overview: We are seeking an accurate and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team in Trumbull, CT. In this role, you will work directly under the Controller, managing daily transactions, maintaining precise data logs, and keeping our financial operations running efficiently. Because we operate four manufacturing facilities under strict medical cGMP and ISO 13485 standards, a high level of accuracy and a rigorous attention to detail are crucial.
Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable (AP): Organize, match, and process incoming vendor invoices against work and purchase orders. Coordinate with warehouse and inventory managers to ensure correct tracking of component paperwork. Accounts Receivable (AR): Record customer receipts, input daily invoicing, and assist managers with customer collections or repayment inquiries. Data Entry & General Ledger Support: Input financial data accurately to correct General Ledger (GL), Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and departmental accounts. Bank & Inventory Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly ledger entries to support the Controller in bank reconciliations and financial reporting. Administrative Compliance: Manage and file physical and digital accounting documents, business insurance certificates, and medical manufacturing licenses.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a clerical office role. Experience in medical device manufacturing or inventory-heavy environments is a major plus. Software Proficiency: Robust familiarity with mainstream accounting software (such as Quick Books) and strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Core Competencies: Extreme attention to detail, solid numerical capability, and strong verbal/written communication skills.
