Job Description Yard Associate & Delivery Driver Trainee Direct Hire | Raleigh, NC Do you want to join a team at an established company that has been serving the Raleigh area for over 80 years? We're looking for a dependable, customer-focused Yard Associate & Delivery Driver Trainee to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, helping customers, staying active, and is willing to learn new skills, including forklift operation and local deliveries. This is a hands-on, multi-dimensional role where no two days are exactly the same. You'll assist customers, pull orders, load materials, and make local deliveries using company vehicles, including pickup trucks and, with training, flatbed trucks. Pay & Schedule $19/hour + overtime opportunities Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Every other Saturday | 9:00 AM-2:00 PM (with some flexibility) Paid time off & holiday pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance Annual bonus opportunity What You'll Do Accurately pull and stage customer orders Assist customers in selecting and loading lumber and building materials Make local deliveries using company vehicles, including pickup trucks Learn to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently Load and unload trucks and materials Maintain an organized and safe yard environment Provide excellent customer service to contractors, builders, and homeowners Help with general yard and warehouse responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For Strong customer service and communication skills Willingness to drive company vehicles and learn flatbed truck operations Desire to learn forklift operating skills (training provided) Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions Ability to stay active and safely handle building materials throughout the day Strong attention to detail and ability to pull orders accurately Good driving record required Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn Able to pass a background check and drug screen Why Join Us?
