About the role
The Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City is seeking academic, board certified medical and cosmetic dermatologists to join its growing faculty. This unique opportunity includes leadership roles for senior and junior dermatologists with expertise in skin of color to advance clinical care and research. Successful candidates will engage in comprehensive patient care, mentoring, and translational research within a world-renowned health system. Responsibilities:
- Provide medical and/or cosmetic dermatology services
- Develop clinical, translational and/or basic research involving conditions related to skin of color (such as keloids, vitiligo, CCCA, etc.)Mentor and help develop the next generation dermatologists
- Participate as part of the department management team and interact with senior hospital and school leadership for senior candidates
- CompensationCompensation range from $300,000 to $600,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Must obtain and maintain a medical license in the State of New York
- Experience in lasers and cosmetic procedures, including for skin of color
- Robust interest in academics, teaching, scholarly projects, and clinical/translational or basic research, and particularly in conditions involving patients of color
- Strong academic record of publications and research
- Track record of foundation/NIH grants, particularly for the senior candidate
- Collegial and team player mindset, able to thrive in a team environment
- Experience in clinical trials and/or clinical/translational research
- Expertise in cosmetic procedures and lasers
- Open to visa sponsorship
