Power BI Developer - $35-$50/hr.18-month contract – Hybrid in San Diego area We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to support the design, development, and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics for a large-scale ERP implementation. The developer will work closely with functional and technical teams to translate business and reporting requirements into intuitive, accurate, and high-performing Power BI solutions using data sourced from Snowflake.
Required Skills & Experience: 2+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including:
- Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Data modeling and development of semantic modelsDAX measures and calculations
- Power Query / M for data preparation and transformation
- Report and dashboard development, including drill-downs, filters, and interactive visualizations
- Row-level security and role-based reporting
- Performance tuning and optimization of datasets, models, and reports
Publishing, workspaces, deployment, refresh scheduling, and lifecycle management 2+ years of experience with Snowflake, including SQL development, querying, views, and working with enterprise data models.
Familiarity with ERP business processes and data within one or more of the following areas:
Finance / Accounting
Procurement / Supply ChainHuman Resources / Payroll
Experience translating business requirements into reporting and analytics solutions.
Strong data validation and reconciliation skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple reports, requirements, and priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively with business analysts, functional SMEs, data engineers, and project stakeholders.
Demonstrated innovation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify better ways to present, analyze, and use enterprise data.
Preferred:
Experience developing paginated reports using Power BI (formerly SSRS Report Builder).Experience supporting an ERP implementation, modernization, or legacy reporting migration.
Experience developing reports against complex financial or operational data.
Understanding of reporting governance, testing, documentation, and production deployment practices.
