Overview: Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities at UT Health Pittsburg hospital.
About this Position
Shift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off.
Hours: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm. No procedures; not an ICU role. Average daily census 10–15; 2–3 admissions per day. Night cross coverage by remote APP.ER runs codes. Opportunity to pick up extra shifts at regional facilities. Teaching responsibilities with Rural Family Medicine Residents. Smart Technology: Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe to reduce documentation burden.
Position Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM).Unrestricted Texas Medical License or eligibility to obtain one. No visa sponsorship available.
