About the role
Job Description_ Department:_ Endoscopy Location: Henry Ford Rochester - 1101 W University Drive Rochester, MI 48307 Schedule: Contingent / No weekends_ Shift:_ 8a-430pSupports endoscopic procedures by preparing the equipment, field and managing specimens.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, appropriately positioning patient and cleaning/shaving/numbing testing sites as appropriate
- Interprets, describes and reports test results. Recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.
- Monitors patient prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition.
- Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : High School diploma equivalency with 1 year of cumulative experience OR associate's degree/technical degree required. CERTIFICATION/LICENSURES REQUIRED :BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
