Customs Broker at a Leading Japanese Logistics Company in the O'Hare Area (Wood Dale, IL)*Relocation assistance is available for a qualified candidate- Report to: CEO- Compensation: $75,000~$95,000 -Exempt

Qualifications: • Active U.S. Customs Broker License (Required)• Minimum 3 years of experience in a customs brokerage or freight forwarding role• Strong knowledge of HTS classification, valuation, and country of origin rules• Familiarity with ACE Portal, CTPAT, TSA documentation, and other customs software platforms
Key Responsibilities: • Classify imported goods in accordance with the HTSUS• Utilize ACE Portal for applicable functions such as AES filings, protests, and other regulatory activities• Maintain compliance with U.S. customs laws and regulations• Communicate with CBP and other government agencies (FDA, USDA, etc.)• Oversee CTPAT procedures and TSA requirements• Advise clients and internal teams on customs-related matters• Review and maintain customs documentation and records• Train and mentor junior operations and import team members• Stay current with regulatory changes and industry trends
