Deepwater Control Room Operator Pioneer Production Services, Inc. is a supplemental contract labor company founded in 2010 that provides specialized personnel to the oil, gas, and offshore marine industries. The Deepwater Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling offshore production systems from the central control room on a deepwater facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations by monitoring process conditions, responding to alarms, coordinating with field personnel, and supporting production optimization. The operator plays a key role in daily operations, start-up and shutdown activities, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and operate production systems through DCS, SCADA, and ESD systems.
Maintain safe and efficient oil, gas, water handling, compression, and utility operations.
Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and equipment performance.
Respond to alarms and process upsets and coordinate with offshore operations personnel.
Support well startups, shut-ins, routing changes, and production adjustments.
Complete shift logs, production reports, and operational handovers.
Participate in emergency response and follow all company safety and environmental procedures.
Assist with troubleshooting and operational support as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.5+ years of offshore oil and gas operations experience.
Deepwater offshore experience preferred.
Experience with DCS/SCADA and emergency shutdown systems.
Strong knowledge of offshore production and compression systems.
Ability to read P&IDs and follow operating procedures.
Current offshore certifications such as TWIC and HUET preferred.
