Job Description: We are seeking a Bilingual Medical Scribe (Spanish/English) to support a fast-paced medical practice at multiple locations throughout Queens, the Bronx, and potentially Long Island. This role is primarily focused on real-time clinical documentation, assisting the provider by accurately documenting patient encounters in the EMR.The position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, types quickly and accurately, is dependable, and is interested in gaining hands-on experience in a clinical setting. Schedule We currently need coverage: Tuesdays Thursdays Candidates should ideally be available for both days. Additional workdays may become available starting in November and throughout the week depending on practice needs, clinic volume, and the candidate's availability. This position may therefore have the opportunity to expand over time.
Key Responsibilities: Document patient visits in real time during provider encounters Accurately capture patient history, examination findings, assessments, treatment plans, and procedures Assist with Spanish-English communication and interpretation for patients when needed Support provider workflow and help improve efficiency during patient visits Assist with referrals, orders, forms, and other clinical documentation as needed Provide light clinical or administrative assistance when necessary Maintain accurate and organized documentation in the EMRRequirements Fluent in Spanish and English — required Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute — required Strong typing skills with the ability to document quickly and accurately Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment Reliable, professional, punctual, and detail-oriented Comfortable spending a significant portion of the workday documenting and typing Able to reliably travel between assigned clinic locations Available to work Tuesdays and Thursdays Travel Requirement This position requires travel between multiple clinic locations. Current locations are primarily in Queens and the Bronx, with the possibility of working at a Mineola/Long Island location. Candidates must be comfortable commuting to different assigned locations depending on the day. Reliable transportation is required, whether by car, public transportation, or another dependable method. Ability to drive is preferred but not required. Preferred, but Not Required Prior medical scribe or healthcare experience Familiarity with EMR systems Knowledge of medical terminology Experience documenting patient encounters Interest in healthcare, including pre-med, pre-PA, nursing, or related fields Ability to drive between clinic locations
