Duties:
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to high school and/or college students both online and in person in the following subject areas English writing and literature College Essays History Social Studies Foreign Language - high need for Spanish, French, and ItalianACT/SAT experience preferred Special consideration will be given to applicants capable of tutoring STEM courses in addition to the above humanities courses- Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation- Must be able to commute within the Broward county, FL area. Applicants who are not available for in person work will not be considered- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students- Monitor student progress and provide feedback in session reports to admin, parents/guardians, and teachers- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring sessions with classroom curriculum- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment- Reliably commute from client to client Qualifications-At least 2 years of high school and/or college tutoring experience- Previous experience working with students, preferably in a high school and/or college setting- Knowledge of various teaching methods and techniques- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
