As one of the top oligo suppliers in the U.S., we are committed to excellence in quality, customer service, and operational innovation. We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to join our team as Business Unit Director – Oligonucleotide Manufacturing. This leadership role is responsible for driving the overall performance of our Louisville manufacturing business, with accountability for P&L, operations, strategic direction, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities: Own full P&L responsibility including revenue growth, margin expansion, budgeting, and forecasting Lead day-to-day oligonucleotide manufacturing operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery with full accountability for operational and financial performance Define and execute strategic growth plans to expand market share and revenue Drive new product introduction and expand service offerings to support growth Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop pricing strategy and customer growth initiatives Identify new market opportunities and customer segments Drive continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) and operational excellence Lead automation and process optimization initiatives Build and lead a high-performing team of 40–50 employees Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in science required;; MS or PhD in Organic Chemistry or a related field is preferred.8–10+ years manufacturing leadership experience Experiences in oligonucleotide synthesis is a plus Proven P&L ownership and revenue growth track record Experience scaling operations and launching new products Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
