Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent Client Industry: Tech / SaaS Compensation: $175,000 - $200,000 + bonus Summary Our client, a growing global Tech/SaaS company with roughly 200 employees across the US, UK, and Australia, is hiring its first VP, People & Culture. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will own the full People function and build it from the ground up as the company works to scale from $25M toward $50M–$100M in ARR. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, sales-org-savvy People executive who builds trust at every level and makes the difficult calls that growth requires. Why It’s Worth Your Time Own the People function from day one as the company’s senior HR executive, reporting directly to the CEO. Build the function your way, including the strategy, systems, team, and operating rhythm. Shape a business with a clear growth mandate and an established, widely adopted product. Lead global scope across three countries in an organization where your impact is visible. Help establish a new US hub as a key member of the leadership team. What You’ll Own Develop and execute the People & Culture strategy aligned to the company’s growth plan and values. Partner with the CEO and CFO on workforce planning, including headcount forecasts, sales capacity, role mix, and geographic distribution. Lead organizational design, change management, and transformation initiatives as the company scales. Oversee global people operations across the US, UK, and Australia, including payroll, HRIS, benefits, and PEO/EOR partnerships. Ensure compliance with multi-jurisdiction employment laws and manage relationships with employment and immigration counsel. Serve as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and exits. Design compensation, incentive, and benefits programs with Finance, including sales compensation and workforce cost modeling. Own talent acquisition strategy, employer branding, and hiring standards to support aggressive growth. Build performance management, succession planning, and manager development programs, including first‑time manager training. Lead engagement, culture, and recognition programs across a distributed workforce. Track and report people metrics such as attrition, capacity, and productivity to inform executive decisions. Build, lead, and develop the People & Culture team, and manage the department budget and vendors.
Must-Haves: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline. 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership roles owning the People function. Experience in a sales-driven organization, including workforce planning tied to revenue growth. Track record scaling HR in a growing, multi-country organization. Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdiction employment law and PEO/EOR models. Proven leadership of transformation and change management initiatives. A leader who builds genuine trust at every level of the organization and has the judgment and resolve to make difficult people decisions with discretion.
Nice to Have: SaaS, technology, or sales driven org experience. Direct HR experience in the UK and/or Australia. Experience building a People team from the ground up in a scaling company. Background supporting venture- or private equity-backed organizations. Experience implementing or optimizing HRIS platforms.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
