About the role
JCB Powder Paint Shop ManagerThe purpose of this role is to manage all operations within the state-of-the-art Powder Paint Shop. The role will manage up to 60 work associates across multiple shifts as well as maximizing the operational performance of the asset. This position will also include responsibilities for the Safety, qualitative and environmental functions while closely aligning with key stakeholders to ensure that the supply of painted components meet the production schedule.Position Type: Full Time, FLSA ExemptLocation: 13210 Palo Alto Rd., San Antonio, TX, 78264JCB offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401 (k) retirement plan; paid time off and paid holidays.Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:Work collaboratively with the operational leadership teams & functionsSchedule components to meet production requirements from the powder paint shop, while maintaining a high integrity operation in disciplines of safety, quality & continuous improvementDevelop and maintain good relationships with suppliersManage and maintain cost performance & support capital expenditure projectsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholdersUnderstand & implement SPC performanceOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:4 years of operational leadership in a fast-paced production facility4 years of working as a personnel supervisorPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalentKnowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:Strong operational ethicsStrategic thinking of using data driven decisionsMust have excellent task-conversion skillsProficient in Microsoft Office softwareMust have a professional, polished, and sophisticated demeanor and be comfortable in most social settingsComfortable in an in-person office environmentTechnical competence is valued Industrial Paint & Processing plantsMust be customer service oriented, flexible, and have a high energy levelShall be open to domestic and international travelDesire and proven ability to learn and growWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft ProjectJob Conditions:Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment.Subject to noise and temperature changes.Physical Requirements:Remain stationary, operate hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.The employee is occasionally required to stand and move and/or walk.The employee must frequently move and/or transport up to 10 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Equal Opportunity EmployerJCB is an equal employment opportunity (EEO) employer in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
