About the role
location: Claremore, OK Position: Core Assembly Payrate: $24.00/hr Shift: 5:00am - 3:30pm Order # 126440 The Core Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling heat exchanger cores by accurately positioning and securing tubes, fins, sheets, and related components according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, efficiency, and structural integrity of heat exchanger products while meeting production and safety requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble heat exchanger cores using tubes, fins, tube sheets, side plates, separators, and other core components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and bills of materials. Verify correct materials, dimensions, and component placement prior to assembly. Align, stack, and secure core components to specified tolerances. Inspect components and assembled cores for quality, fit, damage, and dimensional accuracy. Prepare assemblies for brazing, welding, pressure testing, or final production processes. Operate assembly equipment, hand tools, measuring devices, and fixtures safely and efficiently. Report nonconforming materials, quality concerns, or equipment issues to supervisors. Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation. Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing standards. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, assembly, or heat exchanger experience preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions. Basic knowledge of measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer and documentation skills preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity to handle small components and assembly tools. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Please apply at 507 E.
