Role Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Sales Strategy Analyst to partner closely with executive and sales leadership, turning complex business data into actionable growth strategy. This individual will serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders, framing the right business question before diving into analysis, then using data to identify sales trends, diagnose performance gaps, uncover opportunities, and recommend the next best action for the business. The ideal candidate comes from staffing, sales, professional services, or a similarly metrics-driven environment, and is comfortable working with large datasets, SQL, sales performance metrics, and emerging AI-enabled analytics.
Must Haves:
7 years of experience in analytics (business analytics, sales analytics, or related).Industry exposure in staffing or a similarly metrics-driven environment.
Strong proficiency in SQL and ability to analyze large datasets.
Skilled in data visualization tools such as Snowflake, React, Tableau. Strong understanding of sales funnels, pipeline management, forecasting, and customer segmentation.
Demonstrated ability to reframe ambiguous or loosely scoped business questions into structured, answerable analysis.
Experience translating data into business recommendations.
Exposure to AI, predictive analytics, or data visualization platforms.
Great written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting findings to senior executives.
Responsibilities: Problem Framing & Strategic Partnership:
- Partner with sales leaders early, before a request is scoped, to identify the actual decision the analysis needs to support.
- Challenge or reframe requests that are vaguely stated or aimed at the wrong question.
- Translate complex data into clear business recommendations and next-best-action strategies.
- Develop recommendations around market opportunities, sales effectiveness, resource allocation, and operational performance
- Sales & Business Analytics:
- Analyze sales and operational performance across markets, divisions, teams, clients, and other relevant business segments
- Identify trends, performance gaps, leading indicators, and areas of opportunity
- Conduct root-cause analysis when key performance indicators decline or deviate from expectations, distinguishing mechanical or seasonal effects from genuine shifts in performance.
- Evaluate sales behaviors and business outcomes to identify opportunities for increased productivity and effectiveness
- Data, SQL, & AI:Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets across multiple business functions
- Create analyses and visualizations that simplify complex findings for senior leadership
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics to improve insight generation, identify patterns, and support next-best-action recommendations
- Work within a shared semantic layer to ensure analysis is grounded in metric definitions the broader organization trusts
