This role serves as an operational leader responsible for overseeing processes, safety, and technical systems across New Castle Metal.
Key Responsibilities: Equipment Management Manage all machinery & equipment uptime, upkeep, & PM schedules (New Tech Machinery, Cidan, Trumpf, Rollformer, Cincinnati).Act as the primary lead with equipment vendor relationships, and problem/conflict resolution. Active role in equipment procurement and divestments. System owner of MaintainX (Asset Management software).Standard Operating Procedures & Quality Management Create, implement, and conduct training on SOP’s covering: receiving, customer pickups, customer deliveries, transfers, returns, and cycle counts. Maintain Quality Management across the company for all finished fabricated products. Ensure quality assurance is adhered to, and corrective actions are implemented as necessary. Perform Audits and record keeping of fabrication performance. Oversight of the production planning process and put forth solutions for bottlenecks. Support inventory management: purchasing, levels, overstock, write-offs. Employee Relations & Management Manage employee relations matters as they arise within the operational teams. Active participation in recruiting/onboarding, coaching/mentoring, and offboarding for all operational and production employees. Safety Leadership Lead safety across the operation and minimize OSHA recordable metrics. Perform incident investigation root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as necessary. Prepare and provide weekly safety training for internal release. Participate in Captive insurance risk control workshops. Spearhead 5-S and Lean initiatives to optimize facility cleanliness and organization.
