Velocity Tech has partnered with an exciting Health Tech company in the US who are looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join. Do you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below. This role is fully remote with no expectation of travel. You must be based in the US, Responsibilities; Design and own scalable, production-grade data architectures on GCP
Lead the development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data stack tools
Build and optimise data warehouses and lakehouse architectures (e.g. BigQuery)
Establish best practices in data modelling, governance, and data quality Requirements;8+ years in data engineering or related field, with experience at Staff or Senior level
Strong experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer)
Expertise in Python and SQL for data processing and pipeline development
Experience xsgimln building distributed data systems and handling large-scale datasets
Strong understanding of data modelling techniques (e.g. dimensional modelling)
Experience with orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow / Cloud Composer)
Solid understanding of streaming and batch data processing
