Job Description: Job Description We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Technical AutoCAD Drafter to join a leading company in its field. Our high-profile projects and clients demand accuracy, consistency, and exceptional attention to detail throughout every phase of a project. This position is ideal for an AutoCAD professional who is technically strong, comfortable producing detailed shop drawings, and highly proficient with dynamic blocks. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment while consistently producing accurate, high-quality drawings.
Key Responsibilities: Create and edit detailed production shop drawings for client review and approval Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and part details for production Create accurate mechanical and technical drawings using AutoCADCreate, modify, and efficiently work with AutoCAD dynamic blocks Translate project requirements, specifications, and design information into accurate production drawings Revise drawings based on client, project, and production requirements Perform quality-control checks in coordination with the design team Verify dimensions, geometry, details, and drawing accuracy before release Ensure drawing changes and requests are completed accurately and on schedule Maintain drawing standards and consistency across multiple projects Manage multiple drawing assignments and project deadlines throughout the day Communicate effectively with designers, project teams, and production personnel
What We Are Looking For: Strong professional experience with AutoCADDemonstrated experience creating shop drawings and production drawings Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD dynamic blocks Experience with architectural, mechanical, fabrication, or related technical drawings Excellent geometry and mathematical skills Ability to read, interpret, and accurately translate technical information into drawings Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects and priorities each day Strong communication and problem-solving skills Dependable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team Autodesk Revit experience is a plus Company Description Express Employment Professionals is one of the top staffing companies in the U.S. and Canada.
