Job Responsibilities:
Performs basic shaping process steps on medium difficult parts.
Beveling – capable of fabricating polished, double, and off-angle asymmetric bevels
Blocking – pitch button, Norland transfer, steep singles, cold blocking, contacting, and alignment
Grinding – Steep radius, cylinder, tight wedge, continuous
Polishing – spindle, CP, double side, CNC polish
Slurry Maintenance - maintains and measures established Baume and PH levels
Pour pitch lap, cuts, and grooves lap
Advanced print reading skills – can read and comprehend all fabrication specs
Measurement skills include - Basic Zygo, understanding of fringe pattern, microscope, stereoscope, surface quality inspection, fiber light
Performs other duties as assigned
