Associate, Middle Office — New York, NYAbout the RoleA leading global wholesale bank is seeking an Associate to join its Wholesale Banking Middle Office team in New York. This is a first-line-of-defense role supporting client due diligence, screening, and credit administration for a portfolio of financial institutions, corporates, funds, and real estate borrowers ($1mm–$100mm+ exposures) across trade finance, syndicated/bilateral lending, fund finance, and money market products. You'll report to the Head of Wholesale Banking Middle Office as one of four team members.
What You'll Do:
Manage KYC onboarding and periodic reviews (Maker/Checker workflow in Fenergo/Fen-X), including document collection, screening (World-Check One), tracking deadlines, and escalating PEP/sanctions/adverse media hits Clear and escalate KYC alerts (5-business-day SLA) and SWIFT screening/TCR cases Prepare Credit Approval Forms, monitor credit management system deadlines, and maintain the team tracker Process account maintenance including name changes, mandate updates, and closures Maintain Share Point archives and trackers to support audits and regulatory exams Support KYC/credit documentation remediation projects and process improvement initiatives Who You'll Work With Relationship Managers (daily), Compliance/MLRO (daily), Credit & Risk (weekly), Operations, Head Office units, and external clients/agents What We're Looking For 2+ years in financial services — KYC, middle office, credit administration, or compliance at a wholesale or correspondent bank Bachelor's degree; CAMS or ICA certification a plus Strong knowledge of KYC/AML regulations, trade finance, and syndicated/fund finance documentation Proficient in Excel, Share Point, and MS Office Strong written communication skills (audit-defensible narratives) and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders under deadline pressure Apply today or reach out directly to rex.li@jcwgroup.com to learn more
