Inventory Control
Job Location: Sanger, CAPosition Type/Hours: Seasonal (approx. 6 months/year)
Reports To: Plant Manager
Job Duties: Track incoming and outgoing inventory (raw materials and finished goods)Maintain accurate inventory records (manual logs or digital systems)Perform cycle counts and full inventory audits Inspect goods for damage, quality, food safety concerns or discrepancies Label, tag, and organize stock in storage areas Coordinate with packing and shipping departments Report shortages, overages, or inconsistencies Follow safety and sanitation procedures (especially in food packing plants)
Key Skills: Attention to detail accurate counting, labeling, and recordkeeping Basic math skills counting stock, tracking quantities, reconciling discrepancies Computer literacy familiarity with inventory software (e.g., Excel or warehouse systems)Organization managing stock efficiently and keeping records updated Communication coordinating with packing staff, supervisors, and shipping teams
Basic Requirements
Education: High school diploma or similar
Experience: 02 years in inventory, warehouse, or packing environments Experience with shipping/receiving is often a plus Technical / Equipment Knowledge Use of: Barcode scanners, Inventory management systems, Forklifts or pallet jacks (certification may be required)Understanding of FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory method Compliance & Safety Knowledge of workplace safety standards In food plants: adherence to sanitation and hygiene rules (like HACCP principles)
Preferred Qualifications: (Not Always Required)Forklift certification Prior work in a packing or production facility Pay Range ($17.00 min - $17.25 max)/hour This position may encompass other duties than the specified duties listed above. If necessary, alternative duties can be assigned at the discretion of the direct supervisor.
