Job Description:
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the Dental Assisting program. This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean/Director of Education. As the leader of the program, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business princip les and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company policies and procedures. This position requires so me evening and Saturday hours.
The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s), is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and develop ment, coordinating and administering the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department.
Requirements:
Completion of a Dental Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma is required; an associate degree in Dental Assisting is preferred but not required
Expertise in interpersonal and verbal presentation/written communication skills.
Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Dental Assistant
Prior postsecondary related teaching experience of at least 2 years.
Associate degree in the discipline or a related field as required by accrediting and licensing agency standards.
Certifications: CDA and/or RDA and
DANB RHS
