About the role
Administrative Support Specialist Arlo Solutions is supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Integrity and Compliance (OIC) in standing up and running the VHA Fraud Rapid Response Center ("VA War Room"). The War Room protects Veterans and taxpayer dollars through data analytics, fraud risk assessment and fast administrative action, in line with Executive Orders 14395 and 14243. The Administrative Support Specialist will help investigators, subject matter experts (SMEs), and program managers keep casework, reporting, and governance activities organized, traceable, and decision ready.
Location:
Remote Clearance: Public Trust (Ability to pass a Tier 2 / Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) and obtain a VA PIV card) Responsibilities and/or Success Factors: Help investigators and SMEs develop presentations and communications with speed and efficiency. Organize case documentation and evidence and help assemble War Room referral packages. Participate in efforts to prepare weekly analytic runs and decision-ready case packages. Apply case-file QA checklists and sampling plans, and support quality reviews of workpapers and deliverables. Help develop intake and triage SOPs, the case lifecycle and status taxonomy, and workflow process maps and RACI charts, aligned with CIRTS practices. Support preparation of monthly governance and milestone reports, dashboards, outcome summaries, and ad hoc white papers for VA leadership. Coordinate and document meetings with OIC, VHA, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) stakeholders. Track action items and follow-ups through completion. Help develop training materials, templates, and knowledge transfer content so VA staff can sustain War Room operations independently. Work effectively in a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and short-turnaround requests. Minimum Qualifications Including Certificates: Bachelor's degree Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint1 to 3 years of experience in the federal healthcare space Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to handle short-turnaround requests in a high-intensity environment Ability to pass a Tier 2 / Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) and obtain a VA PIV card Legal eligibility to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with VA/VHA, CMS, Medicare, or Medicaid programs
- Experience with healthcare claims, payment integrity, or improper payment experience
- Experience with case management or compliance tracking systems (e.g., CIRTS)
- Familiarity with VA Community Care
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or a related certificationAAP Statement
