About the role
We are looking for dependable, hands-on volunteers who enjoy working outdoors and want to support the daily operations of our farm. Facility Helpers play an important role in keeping our property safe, organized, and ready for our participants, volunteers, and horses. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, being outdoors, and making a meaningful impact behind the scenes. Responsibilities May Include: Maintaining and improving farm facilities and grounds Cleaning and organizing barns, tack areas, and shared spaces Assisting with property improvement projects Moving supplies and preparing areas for programs Helping with basic farm maintenance tasks Supporting a safe and welcoming environment for participants and horses Assisting with seasonal projects as needed Ideal Volunteer: Reliable and willing to commit to a consistent schedule Able to serve at least a couple hours each week Enjoys physical work and being outdoors Comfortable around horses and a farm environment (horse experience helpful but not required) Takes initiative and notices what needs to be done Values teamwork and serving others Time Commitment: We are seeking volunteers who can serve during weekday hours, Monday–Friday. A minimum commitment of a couple hours per week is requested, with opportunities for additional hours based on availability and project needs. Why Volunteer With Blue Sky Acres?
