About the role
Klassic Recruiting in partnership with our client.
Our client is expanding their group in San Antonio, Texas and have an exciting new opportunity for someone as a Senior Accountant.
Job Description Responsibilities :
Responsible for all financial activities of assigned clients including but not limited to:
Customer billings, cash application, deduction processing
Accounts receivable and accounts payable
Cost accounting, inventory valuation and verification
Payroll
Fixed Assets * Ensure accuracy and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual internal financial statements including: Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow as well as supporting schedules.
Liaise with business unit leaders, marketing and operations areas to understand and actualize goals and objectives, develop forecasts and projections, and develop models and other tools to provide accurate and complete budgets and forecasts.
Conduct analysis of financial results, including budget to actual, costs, etc. with a particular emphasis on sales, operational costs and associated margins.
Recommend accounting changes to better assess business performance.
Analyze manufacturing variances including material yields, throughputs and burden spend
Work with local, state and federal agencies to process financial and administrative documentation
Perform office management functions
Prepare and posts journal entries
Perform other duties as assigned

Excellent problem solving/judgment and analytical skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written at all levels of the organization
Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to: MS Office Suite, NetSuite/ERP, Treasury Connect
Open to occasional long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
Must be able to enforce company policies and budgets while maintaining a good working relationship with other departments
Experience and Skills:
5+ years total accounting experience (required)
3+ years in cost accounting (required)
Consumer packaged goods experience (preferred)
Analytical and problem-solving skills
BA/BS in Accounting/Finance (required)
Master’s in Accounting/Finance (plus)
