About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrician or Electrical Assembly Technician to join a distribution company specializing in made to order and off the shelf electronic parts, components, and electrical solutions. This is a hands on technical position ideal for someone with a strong electrical background who is interested in transitioning from traditional field electrical work into a stable assembly and distribution environment. The role will involve electrical assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, testing, and working with a variety of electrical and electronic components.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical assembly, wiring, installation, and modification of electrical components and systems
- Build and assemble made to order electrical products based on customer specifications
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify component or wiring problems
- Test completed assemblies to verify functionality, safety, and quality
- Work with a variety of electrical and electronic components, wiring, connectors, controls, and related equipment
- Ensure completed products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to electrical components and assemblies
- Follow established electrical safety procedures and company quality standards
Qualifications:
- Electrical certification, electrician license, or degree in Electrical Engineering required
- Minimum of one year of hands on experience working with electrical components, wiring, electrical systems, or electrical assembly
- Previous experience as an Electrician, Electrical Technician, Electrical Assembly Technician, or similar hands on electrical position strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, wiring, components, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Comfortable using electrical testing equipment and hand tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to perform precise electrical assembly work
