Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Duration: 6 Months Payrate: $20/Hr to $25/hr on W2
Job Description: Roles, Skills, and Industry ResourcesA fabrication technician (often called a fab technician) is a skilled tradesperson who designs, assembles, and finishes metal or composite parts using tools, machinery, and fabrication techniques, often in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or industrial settings.
Typical Responsibilities: Fabrication technicians work in shops or production facilities to: Cut, bend, weld, and assemble metal or composite materials Use precision hand tools, mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and quality standards. Perform fit-up, joint preparation, and finishing work. Maintain and calibrate fabrication equipment. Ensure safety compliance and quality control.
Skills and Qualifications: Common requirements include: High school diploma or GED; some roles require vocational training or certifications Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, stick), tube fabrication, and sheet metal work Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools. Knowledge of safety protocols and quality standards. Physical stamina for lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks.
