Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing classroom environment Implement lesson plans and daily schedules left by the lead teacher Facilitate age-appropriate educational activities, play, and learning exercises Maintain classroom order and ensure the safety and well-being of all children Communicate effectively with staff and parents as needed Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and state childcare regulations
Requirements:
Prior experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework a plus Ability to obtain or current CPR and First Aid certification Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability for substitute assignments Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for children Ability to pass a background check as required by NYS childcare regulations
