We are partnered with a progressive architecture and engineering firm that is focused on employee-owned culture. The firm delivers unique and technically complex projects across government, institutional, and private-sector markets, with a particular focus on critical facilities, sustainability, and alternative energy design. They are looking for a strong Electrical Engineer who wants to remain technically involved while taking greater ownership over complex building systems projects. You'll work alongside engineers across multiple disciplines and offices while providing technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. What You’ll Do:
Design complex electrical building systems across power distribution, lighting and controls, grounding, lightning protection, emergency power, and UPS systems. Lead project teams and deliver comprehensive electrical design packages. Perform load flow, short-circuit, and voltage-drop calculations. Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients throughout project delivery. Provide technical oversight, training, and guidance to junior engineers and designers. Support projects through construction and commissioning. Work with electrical teams across multiple offices to improve internal standards and technical quality. Deliver projects for federal, state and local agencies, universities, and commercial and industrial clients.
What We’re Looking For:
6-10 years of Electrical Engineering experience. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related accredited engineering discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Strong building systems design experience. Experience with power distribution, lighting and controls, emergency power, grounding, and UPS systems. Knowledge of electrical system modeling and analysis. Prior MEP/consulting engineering experience preferred. Federal building design experience is highly desirable. Revit and AutoCAD experience is a plus. U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
