Immigration Attorney – Hybrid (Silver Spring, MD) Our growing immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Attorney to join our team in a hybrid role based in Silver Spring, Maryland. We are a fast-paced, client-focused practice handling complex immigration matters, including removal defense, asylum, family-based immigration, waivers, federal litigation, and humanitarian cases. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, confident litigator, and capable of independently managing a demanding caseload while mentoring junior attorneys and legal staff.
Responsibilities: Represent clients before the Immigration Court and USCIS Handle complex removal defense matters, including asylum, CAT, cancellation, and waivers Prepare and litigate motions, briefs, and appeals before EOIR and the BIA Conduct client consultations and develop case strategy Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff Participate in federal district court litigation, including mandamus and APA actions (preferred) Maintain high standards of client communication and case management
Qualifications: Two plus years experience in immigration law Significant Immigration Court experience required Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills Ability to independently manage litigation-heavy caseloads Federal litigation experience strongly desired Maryland and Virginia bar admissions are a huge plus Spanish language fluency is a major plus
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $100,000 – $175,000, depending on experience Hybrid work flexibility 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and holidays Opportunity for growth within an established and expanding practice Location Hybrid position based in Silver Spring, Maryland, with some in-office appearances and court attendance required.
