About the role

Volunteer — Party for the Parks 2026 Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust Thursday, June 4, 2026 | 4:00–9:00 PM Unidad Park, Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles Join us for one of LANLT's favorite nights of the year. Party for the Parks is our annual celebration of the people, parks, and communities that make Los Angeles greener, healthier, and more connected — and we need a few good people to help make it happen. Volunteers will support guest registration at arrival and assist with light clean-up at the end of the evening. No prior experience needed — just a friendly face, a willingness to pitch in, and a love for this city. In exchange, you'll get dinner, great company, and a front-row seat to a beautiful event in one of LA's most beloved community parks.
What you'll do:
  • Welcome guests and assist at the registration table (4:00–6:30 PM)
  • Enjoy the event during the program
  • Support light clean-up as the evening wraps (8:00–9:00 PM)
  • What to bring
  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing (the event is outdoors)
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • A great attitude
  • To sign up, contact tkjer@lanlt.orgWe can't wait to celebrate with you.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
