About the role

Circulation/Archival Processing Assistant The undergraduate student assistant will retrieve and reshelve archival materials at the Administrative Services Annex (ASX) on Sullivan Drive, Special Collections' primary storage facility. This work will require frequent heavy lifting of materials up to 40 lbs. They will pack materials for transit and update records as needed in an online tool. They may also process archival collections; this work may involve sorting papers, photographs, or other archival materials into chronological or alphabetical order, labeling folders, or keying in container lists and box labels. They will also assist in performing inventories and other collection management tasks. Position Information: Requirements and Preferences
Work Schedule: Undergraduate shifts will be between 9am and 4pm M-F. Shifts are split according to student schedules and availability. Other Work/Responsibilities Minimum Experience/Education - Undergraduate status; no experience necessary Department Required Skills - Punctuality and reliability required. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and climb ladders to retrieve materials. Ability to work carefully with fragile materials, follow instructions, work independently, and pay attention to detail.
