Position Summary: MP Engineers + Architects is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil Engineer to lead and manage highway, transportation, roadway, and civil/site development projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong civil engineering expertise with proven project management, design, planning, coordination, and construction experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects through all phases—from preconstruction and design through construction and post-construction—while coordinating with clients, project teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate highway, transportation, roadway, and civil/site projects from planning and design through construction and project closeout. Provide technical leadership and oversight for civil engineering design and project delivery. Lead project planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution in accordance with project requirements and client expectations. Manage project scope, schedule, resources, deliverables, and coordination with internal and external project teams. Develop and review civil engineering designs, plans, specifications, and technical documents. Oversee highway/roadway, utility, and civil/site design activities. Coordinate projects involving NYC street improvements and transportation infrastructure. Participate in and provide technical oversight during preconstruction, construction, and post-construction phases. Coordinate with clients including NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and NYSDOT, as well as consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for compliance with project requirements. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and coordinate solutions to maintain project schedules and deliverables. Utilize project management and engineering software, including AutoCAD, Open Roads, and Primavera. Support client meetings, project reporting, technical coordination, and project documentation. Ensure engineering and project management activities are performed in accordance with applicable standards, project requirements, and client expectations.
Required Qualifications: New York State Professional Engineer (PE) License required.8–15 years of comprehensive experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably within highway, transportation, roadway, and civil/site projects. Experience managing projects through preconstruction, construction, and post-construction phases. Strong experience with highway/roadway and utility design. Experience with NYC street improvement and transportation infrastructure projects. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project activities and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Preferred Experience: Experience working on projects for or with NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and/or NYSDOT is preferred.
