About the role

Jkidphilly Grandparent Ambassador Hey Grandparents! Looking for a Fun, Flexible Way to Connect with Your Community? The jkidphilly team at Jewish Learning Venture (JLV) is looking for a jkidphilly Grandparent Ambassador to help bring Jewish traditions and fun to other grandparents and families in the Greater Philadelphia area. Here's what it's all about: Make Connections: Chat with other Jewish grandparents over coffee, organize small gatherings, and help everyone feel welcome. Plan Get-Togethers: Host monthly meetups and intergenerational events where you can connect with grandkids and families through Jewish holidays, traditions, and values. Share the Fun: Help other grandparents plan Jewish-themed gatherings with "Get Together Grants" and show them how easy it is to create meaningful memories. Be a Resource: Be a go-to person for Jewish grandparents in your community, whether it's through a phone call, text, or a friendly meetup. Track the Impact: Keep a simple log of your activities and share ideas with us to help grow the program. The Details Part-time & Flexible: Fit this around your life – it's not a 9-to-5 job!
Supportive Team: You'll work with the jkidphilly team and have everything you need to succeed. Get Paid!: Earn a $5,000 stipend (or $3,000 each if you want to do this with a friend) PLUS additional budget to cover program materials and supplies. Who Should Apply? You love being a grandparent, enjoy connecting with others, and care about creating Jewish memories for future generations. Bonus points if you know your way around Jewish traditions and the Greater Philly community! Think you'd love this? Reach out to Robyn Cohen, Director of PJ Library in Philadelphia at rcohen@jewishlearningventure.org by February 15, 2025.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
