Now, we are looking for an experiencede-commerce executive who has already helped scale a product-based e-commerce companyand knows what it takes to move a growing brand into its next stage. We are hiring aChief Executive Officer (CEO)to take ownership of the business and growth side of Living in Light. This person should havedirect, proven experience scaling an e-commerce or DTC product brand. We are not looking for someone learning e-commerce leadership for the first time. We want someone who has already experienced the challenges that come with rapid growth and knows how to build the strategy, team, systems and sales infrastructure required to scale successfully. The Founder will remain actively involved in the creative vision, product development, brand direction, community and mission of Living in Light. The CEO will work closely with the Founder while taking ownership ofsales, marketing, growth strategy, wholesale, retail expansion, partnerships, team development, operations and overall business performance. What You'll OwnE-Commerce Growth & Sales Develop and execute the company's overall growth strategy. Own revenue goals, forecasting and company KPIs. Scale direct-to-consumer e-commerce sales. Improve conversion rate, average order value, customer acquisition cost, repeat purchase rate and customer lifetime value. Build strategies for product launches, evergreen sales, subscriptions and seasonal campaigns. Analyze performance and make data-driven decisions about where the company should invest time and capital. Identify new revenue opportunities and areas of expansion. Marketing Lead the overall marketing strategy across Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, email, SMS, organic content, affiliates, influencers and PR.Manage and evaluate agencies, contractors and internal marketing team members. Ensure marketing spend is tied to measurable business outcomes. Build customer acquisition and retention strategies. Develop launch and promotional calendars alongside the Founder. Determine which channels should be scaled, improved or eliminated. Create systems for consistently measuring marketing performance and ROI.Wholesale & Retail Expansion Develop a comprehensive wholesale growth strategy. Grow relationships with independent retailers and larger retail partners. Identify and pursue national and regional retail opportunities. Oversee wholesale outreach, buyer relationships, trade shows and account development. Develop pricing, margins and sales strategies that allow wholesale to scale profitably. Help position Living in Light for larger retail partnerships. Strategy & Leadership Translate the Founder's vision into actionable business strategy. Create quarterly and annual growth plans. Establish company-wide goals, KPIs and accountability systems. Identify weaknesses, bottlenecks and opportunities across the organization. Build processes that allow the company to operate beyond the Founder. Recruit, manage and develop the team needed for the next stage of growth. Lead meetings, performance reviews and strategic planning. Help determine when and where the company should hire, invest and expand. Operations & Profitability Work with operations and fulfillment to ensure growth is sustainable. Improve inventory planning, purchasing and forecasting. Monitor margins and overall profitability. Help establish budgets and financial targets. Evaluate expenses, vendors, agencies and contractors. Ensure inventory and operational decisions support sales forecasts and cash flow. Who We're Looking For This position is specifically for someone who hasalready scaled an e-commerce business. The ideal candidate has: Significant leadership experience within a DTC, e-commerce or consumer product company. Aproven track record of materially growing e-commerce revenue, not simply managing an established business. Experience taking a brand through a meaningful stage of growth and the ability to clearly demonstrate the results. Strong understanding of Shopify and the broader e-commerce ecosystem. Deep knowledge of paid acquisition, organic growth, email/SMS, retention, conversion optimization and customer economics. Experience managing significant marketing budgets and evaluating ROAS, MER, CAC and LTV.Experience building and managing teams, agencies and contractors. Experience with wholesale and/or retail expansion. Strong financial and analytical skills. Experience with inventory-based physical products. The ability to build systems and processes within a founder-led company. Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills. An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-growing environment. We are especially interested in candidates who can show specific examples of the e-commerce companies they have helped scale, the revenue levels they helped grow them from and to, and what they personally owned during that growth. This Role Is NOT For Someone WhoHas primarily worked in traditional corporate environments without hands-on e-commerce experience. Has marketing experience but has never owned overall business growth. Has advised e-commerce companies but has never been accountable for results. Is looking to learn how to scale a DTC brand for the first time. Needs a large existing team or extensive corporate infrastructure to execute. Cannot confidently work with financials, KPIs, margins and performance data. We need someone who can bothstrategize and execute. Some travel may be required for company meetings, major launches, trade shows, retail meetings, events or other strategic opportunities.
