About the role

Inside Sales Support Dakota Premium Hardwoods, a distributor of lumber, plywood, laminate and hardware products serving the custom cabinet and woodworking industries, is seeking an Inside Sales Support team member in Houston. This role works closely with outside salespeople and customers to provide responsive service and support day-to-day sales activity. Duties include supporting outside salespeople with quotes, order entry, product availability and customer follow-up; assisting customers by phone and email with product questions and orders; and coordinating with the branch team on order status, deliveries and issue resolution. Will-call traffic is limited, with occasional assistance as needed. The ideal candidate is an energetic, positive self-starter with a friendly disposition, strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service. At a minimum, candidates must have working knowledge of the lumber, cabinet supply or woodworking industry and familiarity with its products and terminology. Solid technology and computer skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests are essential.
