About the Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated Junior Business Development Manager to join a growing sales team in either Charleston/Greenville, SC. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career sales professional who has experience with prospecting and B2B sales and is ready to take the next step toward owning the full sales cycle. You’ll receive hands-on training, work alongside experienced sales professionals, and gradually build your own pipeline and client base. The company is looking for someone they can invest in and develop into a successful Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities
  • Conduct cold calls and outbound outreach to potential clients
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective accounts
  • Participate in client meetings, ride-alongs, and field prospecting
  • Learn multiple service lines and identify opportunities across different industries
  • Research prospective clients and prepare for sales conversations
  • Maintain sales activity and opportunities within Salesforce
  • Assist with RFPs and proposals as needed
  • Develop relationships with prospective customers and eventually manage opportunities through closing
  • Work closely with senior sales team members while developing your own territory and sales approach
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Approximately 1–4 years of professional experience preferred
  • Previous B2B sales, SDR, BDR, prospecting, or business development experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with cold calling and outbound lead generation
  • Salesforce or other CRM experience preferredRFP or proposal experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working both in an office and out in the field
  • Self-motivated, coachable, confident, and eager to grow within sales
