Hi, Job Title: Senior Data Scientist (Economist) exp with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM)
Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $100-110/hr. on W2 Must-have: Data Scientist for Marketing measurement, with expertise in Experimentation and Media Mix Modeling, to start soon. This role needs industrial experience in marketing measurement, and needs someone enjoys developing statistical models & coding.
About the Role: Sr. Data Scientist – Statistical & Causal Inference Client is looking for a hands-on Data Scientist in Marketing Measurement area. The ideal candidate should have a strong statistics/econometrics foundation and be comfortable working as an IC who can independently code, build models, and conduct causal analysis with domain knowledge in Marketing/Grocery area. Core capabilities we are looking for –Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM): Hands-on experience building or maintaining MMM models, ideally Bayesian MMM using Python/PyMC or similar frameworks. Experience with adstock, saturation, control variables, model validation, and channel-level incrementality/ROAS is valuable. Experimentation & causal inference: Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests, geo experiments, holdouts, matched-market/store tests, Difference-in-Differences, CUPED, or other causal inference methods. Strong statistical foundation: Solid understanding of regression, statistical inference, experimental design, time-series modeling, and model diagnostics/validation. Hands-on coding: Strong Python and SQL skills. This person should be comfortable working directly with large datasets and writing production-quality analytical/modeling code, rather than primarily managing analysts or using BI tools. Marketing/business understanding: Able to translate marketing questions into statistical measurement approaches and communicate results to business stakeholders.
