Role summary: As the Senior Director of Product Management for Seller Risk, you will set the vision and strategy for how Walmart establishes trust across the Marketplace seller lifecycle from onboarding and identity verification to continuous risk detection, decisioning, and enforcement. You will lead Product leaders building intelligent platforms that detect emerging risks while enabling trusted sellers to grow with less friction. You will shape how AI, machine learning, graph intelligence, and advanced decisioning power the future of Seller Risk. This highly strategic role will influence how Walmart balances customer protection, seller growth, and trust as Marketplace continues to scale globally
About the team: The Marketplace Trust team is building the intelligence layer that enables Walmart Marketplace to scale with confidence. Our mission is to make Walmart the most trusted marketplace by protecting customers while enabling legitimate sellers to grow. We own the end-to-end seller risk journey—from onboarding and identity verification through continuous risk monitoring, decisioning, and enforcement. Our products determine who can sell, assess seller risk and intent, detect emerging threats, and enable faster, more accurate decisions at scale. As Senior Director, you will define the long-term Seller Risk strategy and build the products, platforms, and organization that enable trusted Marketplace growth globally.
What you'll do: Set the vision and multi-year strategy for Seller Risk across onboarding, identity, lifecycle risk, decisioning, and enforcement. Lead and develop a high-performing organization of Product leaders and Product Managers. Build intelligent, AI-powered risk platforms that detect bad actors earlier while reducing friction for trusted sellers. Advance continuous, predictive risk detection using machine learning, graph intelligence, behavioral insights, and third-party signals. Drive scalable decisioning that improves accuracy, speed, and explainability. Partner with senior cross-functional leaders to prioritize investments and drive execution. Own measurable improvements in fraud loss, false positives, seller friction, and decision speed. Shape Marketplace strategy to enable trusted, sustainable growth.
What you'll bring: 15+ years of Product Management experience building and scaling marketplace, risk, fraud, identity, or trust products. Proven success leading Product leaders, developing senior talent, and building high-performing organizations. Deep expertise in seller risk, fraud prevention, identity verification, and marketplace trust at scale. Experience building risk and decisioning systems using machine learning, graph intelligence, behavioral signals, and rules platforms. Strong understanding of identity, intent, behavioral, transactional, and network risk signals. Exceptional analytical judgment and ability to translate data into product strategy. Proven ability to influence senior executives and align complex cross-functional organizations. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills across technical and executive audiences.
