West Palm Beach, Florida Lateral AssociateIntellectual Property and TechnologyBlank Rome LLP has an opening for a Patent Attorney or Patent Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to support the Firm's patent prosecution practice. Candidates can be based out of our Boston, Chicago, New York, Houston, Philadelphia, South Florida, or Washington, D.C. offices. Successful candidates will possess a Master's Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field. The Patent Attorney or Patent Agent will draft and prosecute applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and international patent offices, as well as support due diligence. Candidates must be registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, be Patent Bar eligible, and if appropriate, licensed to practice law in their respective state. Candidates must have strong time management skills and be able to meet and manage internal and client-driven deadlines with assignments coming from multiple partners and clients. Candidates must have strong attention to detail, writing skills, and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Please note that this is a non-partner track position. The target annual pay range for this role in Boston, Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C., is $100,000 - $200,000. Positions outside of Boston, Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C., will be subject to annual pay ranges specific to the market for that particular geographic location. Actual pay will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The compensation range listed is just one component of Blank Rome’s total compensation package for employees. Other monetary rewards include bonuses based on performance.
