What You'll Do:
You'll serve as a trusted finance partner and lead a broad range of accounting responsibilities that support the organization's operational and financial success. Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and revenue recognition Maintain financial reporting and FP&A workbooks used for monthly reporting, project analysis, and business decision-making Support budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing financial data and reporting for leadership teams Monitor general ledger activity, partner with AP/AR teams, and coordinate intercompany accounting transactions Serve as the primary point of contact for interim and year-end audits, including audit documentation and communications Monitor cash activity, coordinate treasury support, and help ensure financial obligations are met Prepare ad hoc financial reports and respond to requests from municipalities, clients, vendors, and other external stakeholders Support project financial management, client reporting, billing, and operational finance activities for Egis Rail USAIdentify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and enhance accounting operations
What Success Looks Like:
In this role, you'll be successful if you: Deliver a timely, accurate, and well-controlled month-end close process Build trusted partnerships with finance leaders, project teams, and external stakeholders Provide meaningful financial reporting and insights that support business decisions Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and drive operational efficiency
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of relevant accounting experience Prior audit experience, including exposure to interim and year-end audits Strong understanding of month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
