Traveling MEP Project Manager | $125-175k Base w/ Per Diem

Traveling MEP Project ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Traveling Project Manager to lead and deliver construction and MEP projects across multiple sites. This role requires a hands-on manager who travels to project locations regularly, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, ensures quality and safety standards, manages schedules and budgets, and serves as the primary client and contractor contact to drive projects to successful completion.Key ResponsibilitiesTravel regularly to project sites to oversee day-to-day construction and MEP activities, ensuring work meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.Manage project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and on-site logistics for plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and engineering scopes.Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams; conduct site meetings, progress inspections, and safety briefings.Monitor project financials including budgets, change orders, invoicing, and cost forecasting; report status to stakeholders and leadership.Develop and maintain project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, as-built drawings, and closeout packages.Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks and resolve technical and operational issues proactively.Ensure compliance with codes, permits, safety regulations, and client requirements; enforce quality control processes.Build and maintain strong client relationships; act as the primary on-site representative and point of contact for owners and consultants.Mentor and provide direction to on-site supervisors and field staff to improve performance and adherence to project objectives.QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.5+ years of project management experience in construction, MEP, mechanical systems, or related trades with demonstrated success delivering field-based projects.Hands-on knowledge and experience with plumbing, HVAC systems, mechanical installs, and engineering coordination.Proven ability to manage multiple projects while traveling between job sites; valid drivers license and willingness to travel frequently (often overnight).Strong understanding of construction methods, MEP coordination, blueprints, and contract documentation.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; experience managing subcontractors and client relationships.Proficiency with project management tools and software (scheduling, budgeting, reporting) and Microsoft Office suite.Familiarity with building codes, safety standards (OSHA), and permit processes; PMP or other project management certification is a plus.Physical ability to access job sites and perform periodic on-site inspections in varied conditions.BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance - 100% Paid for Employee401(k) with 50% Company Match (no cap) and immediate 100% vestingAnnual bonuses based on performance and profitabilityLife InsuranceDisabilityPTO..and more!
