Energy Engineer
Location: Columbia, MD area
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days remote / 2 days at client sites
Type: Full-Time, Direct HireWe are looking for a Mechanical/Energy Engineer to join an engineering consulting firm focused on building performance and energy efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
  • Support building tune-up and energy efficiency projects
  • Review engineering calculations and building systems
  • Conduct and oversee on-site testing
  • Evaluate HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and building systems
  • Work with contractors, building owners, and customers
  • Prepare and analyze data using Excel
  • Support energy efficiency and building performance initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Energy Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical/electrical engineering, commissioning, controls, or building systems
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and building science
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Comfortable traveling to client sites in the Columbia, MD area
