Job Title: IT Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level IT Technician to join our growing team in Clinton, CT. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will support day-to-day IT operations, assist employees with technical issues, and help maintain our systems and equipment to ensure smooth production and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Set up, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT problems in a timely manner
- Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions
- Support manufacturing systems and shop floor technology as needed
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups
- Maintain accurate records of IT issues and resolutions
- Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies and cybersecurity best practices
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and common IT hardware
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior internship or hands-on experience is a plus but not required
Preferred Skills:
(Not Required):Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, etc.)Experience with help desk or ticketing systems Exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments
