About the role
Non-Touring Special Events Manager Oversee, organize, and execute all non-touring special events, to also include thematic aspects of premier events and other related special projects. Manage all processes of the United States Hot Rod Association (USHRA) the official sanctioning body of Monster Jam to include rulebook oversight and development, safety research & development, safety inquests, and management of inspections and inspectors.
Essential Functions:
Oversee, organize, and execute non-touring special events to include budgeting, logistics, and on-site execution. Contribute to thematic aspects of premier events and oversee props, thematic content, style, and storytelling. Manage logistics of non-touring promotional assets (excluding fleet assets).Manage the United States Hot Rod Association (USHRA) rulebook, to include rules development, compliance, inspections and enforcement. Manage the Safety Inspector program, to include hiring, training, retention, and scheduling. Perform inquests on safety related topics. Maintain relationships with external safety providers and industry organizations to keep USHRA current with safety trends and developments. Conduct research & development on new products and safety techniques. Lead the USHRA Rulebook Committee and participate on the Monster Jam fleet steering committee. Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Technical degree in mechanics or a vocational certificate preferred. Demonstrated skills in mechanics and repair preferred. Safety management experience, preferably in a motorsports or automotive setting, preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Excellent time management and must possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including superior customer services. Ability to work under pressure with a heightened sense of urgency. Ability to prioritize duties for effective and successful events. Availability to work extended hours, holidays and weekends depending upon business demands. Must be dedicated, reliable and punctual. Demonstrate positive and professional behavior towards clients and co-workers at all times. Self-Motivated with ability to work independently and be a team player. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
